Steve Maddalena is another in the long line of excellent players from the Jackson area.
His Amateur career included many championships at the local, regional and statewide levels along with numerous qualifications for national competitions.
He is a three-time champion of the Michigan Amateur (1980, 1990, and 1995), winner of the GAM Championship in 1989, 1988 Michigan Medal Play and Horton Smith Championship and the GAM Golfer of the Year in 1988.
Nationally, Maddalena played in the US Amateur six times and was All-Big 10 at the University of Michigan during his collegiate career.
He also has served as a Governor on the Western Golf Association Board.
Now a senior player, Maddalena has won multiple GAM senior titles and has earned wins on the national circuit as well.
