A PGA member for over 35 years, John Lindert has compiled a most distinguished career.
First moving to Michigan in 1993, Lindert found his home at the CC of Lansing as its Director of Golf. His leadership and golf acumen were recognized with numerous awards, including the Section’s Golf Professional of the Year, the Bill Strausbaugh Award, and the Merchandiser of the Year
award.
Lindert was president of the Michigan PGA Section in 2010-11, and later he was inducted into the Michigan PGA Hall of Fame.
His service to the game extended beyond Michigan, with notable stints on several national PGA committees, as well as on its Board of Directors. In 2022, Lindert became only the third Michigan PGA Section member to serve as President of the PGA of America.
As a competitor, he played in the PGA Professional Championship five times.
